Mission

CSEP was created to support the scientific, educational, and workforce needs of the University of California Santa Barbara, the state of California, and our nation. CSEP's focus areas include:

• Collaborating with faculty on new proposals and existing projects that increase infrastructure and resources for broadening participation in STEM;

• Integrating students who represent the diversity of talent in California into the STEM workforce;

• Strengthening and building new partnerships with K-12, community colleges, other minority-serving institutions, local STEM industry and professional societies.
