Our research programs share one common application that may be found on the programs websites.

2025 Research Programs Common Application

This November, our scholars had the privilege of attending the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS). This prestigious event, recognized for its excellence in STEM education, has served for over 20 years as a platform to elevate historically excluded voices in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

The CSEP Evaluation Team is excited to share "Interdisciplinary Research Center Programs Positively Impact Graduate and Postdoctoral Training," by Elizabeth S. Sciaky, Lubella A. Lenaburg, Ram Seshadri, and Dorothy K. Pak. In this article, the authors explore how the UCSB Materials Research Laboratory, a long-running, NSF funded interdisciplinary research center, shaped the academic and professional journeys of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers.

The UCSB's Graduate Division recently named Gabriela Villalpando Torres as one of their eight 2024 Mentoring Award recipients! 

Dr. Goodchild, 2002 NSF PAESMEM awardee and founding director of CSEP,  highlights her current work in a recent alumni article. Freshmen are invited to apply for the Summer Institute in Mathematics and Science (SIMS)!

The Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships at The University of California, Santa Barbara is proud to announce the winners from the 11th Annual Art of Science Competition. The Artist Reception will be taking place at The Santa Barbara Museum of Art on Thursday May 30th, 2024 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm. Refreshments will be served. All are welcome.
