CSEP Scholars Shine at ABRCMS 2024: Empowering the Next Generation of STEM Leaders
This November, our scholars had the privilege of attending the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS). This prestigious event, recognized for its excellence in STEM education, has served for over 20 years as a platform to elevate historically excluded voices in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
ABRCMS 2024 in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania, provided an invaluable experience, bringing together undergraduates, postbaccalaureates, graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and program administrators. For our scholars, the conference offered the chance to network with leading professionals, present their research, and gain insights into advancing their academic and professional journeys.
Highlights included inspiring keynote speeches, workshops tailored to skill-building and career advancement, and a vibrant exhibit hall showcasing cutting-edge developments in STEM fields. Most importantly, ABRCMS fostered a sense of community, reinforcing the value of diversity and inclusion in scientific innovation.
We are incredibly proud of our scholars for representing our institution with excellence and enthusiasm. Their participation reflects our commitment to supporting the next generation of STEM leaders.
