Community college undergrads are now welcome to apply to PIPELINES Summer 2022 Internship

The community college undergraduate application is now open for the Problem-based Initiatives for Powerful Engagement and Learning In Naval Engineering and Science (PIPELINES) program, an exciting opportunity for science and engineering undergraduates to participate in an 8-week immersive experience, where teams of students compete in finding the most innovative and effective design solutions to real-world Naval engineering and science design projects. Both community college and UCSB undergraduates are invited to apply. All teams are matched with a Navy and a graduate student mentor, who provide training and support. Interns attend weekly meetings, special seminars, and sharpen their problem-solving and entrepreneurial skills through a course on Applied Creativity and Innovation.   Military veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.  Visit the website to learn about eligibility, past projects, participant benefits, and application!  The application is due Feb 6, 2022.
