New Undergraduate Research Programs Coordinator: Farewell & Thank You Sofi, Welcome Shelby!
The Center for Science and Engineering Partnerships at UCSB would like to share our gratitude to Sofi Sanabria-Guillen for her invaluable contributions as Undergraduate Research Programs Coordinator.
Sofi has been a cornerstone of the program, passionately supporting students and fostering research opportunities that have transformed the academic journey for many. Her presence will be greatly missed.
Thank you, Sofi, for your inspiration and unwavering support. The team wishes you all the best in your future endeavors, knowing that you will continue to make a difference wherever you go. Your impact at UCSB will always be remembered!
We are also pleased to announce that Shelby Le will be taking over as the Undergraduate Research Programs Coordinator. She succeeds Sofi Sanabria-Guillen and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to the role.
Shelby is a UC alumna! She received her Bachelor's degree at UC Santa Barbara in 2018 and then went on to earn her M.A. in Education at UC Irvine in 2020. In her new role, she will focus on enhancing research opportunities for undergraduate students and fostering collaboration across departments. Her commitment to building student relationships and her passion for working with first-generation and underrepresented college students make her an excellent fit for this important role. Welcome back to campus Shelby! We are excited about this new addition to our team!
