Driving Discovery: CSEP Scholars Excel at ABRCMS 2025
This November, our talented scholars had the privilege of attending the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) in San Antonio, Texas. This highly esteemed event has continued its two-decade tradition as a crucial platform, dedicated to elevating historically excluded voices and fostering excellence in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.
ABRCMS 2025 in San Antonio provided a transformative experience, uniting a diverse community of undergraduates, postbaccalaureates, graduate students, postdocs, faculty, and program administrators. For our CSEP scholars, the conference was an invaluable opportunity to demonstrate their dedication and advance their careers. Our scholars successfully presented their innovative research findings, engaging in critical discussions and receiving valuable feedback from leading experts. They actively connected with scientists, academics, and potential mentors, forging relationships that will shape their future academic and professional paths. Scholars participated in targeted workshops and sessions, gaining practical knowledge on professional development, navigating the graduate school application process, and securing career advancement opportunities.
